About Us

Who is behind AnxietyMatters.com?

Anxiety Matters has been designed by Paul Douglass, who is a UK therapist specializing in anxiety related problems. Paul recognized that many people who seek his help are often unaware of just how common anxiety is, and how treatable it can be.

He also realized that many of his clients come to him because they feel alone, and they feel that they have to cope with their anxiety without any kind of support.

So he designed this website to bring you all of the information you could possibly need, and get you involved... remember, if you suffer from anxiety, you are not alone, so the more you do get involved, the better!

About Paul

Paul began his working life in the computer services industry.  He quickly gained a senior position within one of the worlds largest computer services companies, having been responsible, on occasions, for the running of one of their largest datacentres in the country.

However, Paul always had an interest in the areas of psychology and hypnosis, as well as a genuine desire to help people.  So when he discovered hypnoanalysis, he saw it as an ideal way to combine all these three things, and the decision to have a complete career change, became an easy one.

Paul trained in hypnotherapy, hypnoanalysis and psychotherapy, and was soon invited to be a full member of the International Association of Hypno-Analysts.

Until recently, Paul practiced in Harley Street in Central London, but has now decided to offer his services outside London, where it's simply easier for his clients to relax!

Paul’s other great interests are in art and music.  He plays the guitar, draws and paints.  Paul’s drawings and limited edition prints are in private collections all over the world, and his commissioned portraits have been shipped worldwide, although he now finds it difficult to find the time to take on new commissions.

Paul is also the only pencil drawing artist ever to be taken on by one of the UK’s largest contemporary art publishers.
